Doctors Clear 1st Round Pick Harrell for Training Camp

The Packers got some good news on Tuesday, as first-round draft pick, No. 16 overall, defensive tackle Justin Harrell, was cleared to practice with the team once preseason camp begins on July 28th. Harrell spent most of the 2006 season on the sidelines at the University of Tennessee after suffering a bicep injury in week two. Harrell also spent parts of 2003 and 2004 on the bench thanks to ankle injuries. Harrell is expected to get an opportunity to be a backup on the teams D-line this season. The 6-foot-4, 305 pound linemen was the team captain at Tennessee. He did play one game with the bicep injury, vs Florida last season and gained three tackles. He was out for the rest of the year following that game.
